Data security has always been paramount to us at Meantime, so our MD Fenner was more than happy to share his expertise on a panel discussing the ISO 270001 standard at the Britain’s Energy Coast Information and Data Security Conference in January.
The event was hosted by Britain’s Energy Coast - a partnership between Sellafield, the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority, local authorities on the west coast of Cumbria and independent members from the private sector – and held at Energus in Workington.We’re currently working towards the ISO 270001 standard and it was interesting to discuss the importance of official security standards with businesses working in and around such a high-security industry.
Also speaking at the event were Orla MacRae, assistant director in the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills cyber team, Derrick Bates from North Cumbria University Hospitals NHS Trust and Dr Daniel Prince from Lancaster University.
